Irondequoit beat Victor tonight and will play Canandaigua who beat Churchville-Chili and Penn Yan was the winner over HF-L which puts them up against Livonia who defeated Aquinas tonight.

On a very rainy day there were fourteen games played. Ithaca (Section IV) broke three tied quarters to beat visiting Irondequoit 11-8. With 1:24 remaining in the first overtime period, Aaron Buck scored during a double man-up opportunity to secure a 13-12 win for the Churchville-Chili over Spencerport.

The All Star list is out recognizing the GRALL players for the 2011 season. Senior attackman, Zach Reed from Haverling and senior Defenseman Jake Bailey from McQuaid Jesuit were selected as GRALL "Players of the Year". The GRALL coaches gave the Sportsmanship award to McQuaid Jesuit.

The 2011 Section Five Tournaments are now underway with twelve out bracket games played today. There were two upsets in the seeding as, in Class A, #9 Greece Thunder beat #8 Greece Lightning 11-9. In Class C, #9 Mynderse won a 15-13 victory over #8 Marcus Whitman.

There were sixteen games played in the Section today and a number of very exciting ones including a 7-6 win for Fairport over Penfield with no time left on the clock. Haverling took Aquinas in double overtime and Marcus Whitman beat Mynderse in the first overtime period.

"It is a great school. I loved the coach. I like their business school a lot. It's very nice," stated Pittsford seniordefenseman Kevin Sanna about his decision to sign his National Letter of Intent to play at Hartford University. His top four schools were Hartford, Fairfield, Cornell and Delaware. "I picked Hartford because I loved the coach and the school. It was the best school [for me] that I looked at."
